Basic Environmental Principles
Naikai Tug Boat Service Co., Ltd. aims to contribute to society and the healthy growth of the company and individuals by promoting the continuous development of business units with all employees participating, and global environmental conservation as a crucial aspect of our policy.
Basic Policy
Based on our Management Principles, Naikai Tug Boat Service Co., Ltd. recognizes environmental conservation as a fundamental mission of the company, and has established the following environmental management policies.
(1)Promotion of Environmentally Friendly Workplaces
We strive to prevent pollution through the following environmental conservation activities in order to hand down our irreplaceable global environment to future generations.
- Reduction of CO2, SOx, NOx by improving fuel oil consumption rate
- Prevention of environmental pollution
- Minimization of resource depletion through effective use of natural resources
(2)Compliance with Regulations, etc
We observe all laws and regulations concerning the environment, and any other requirements that we deem necessary.
(3)Establishment of Organizations and Systems
To comply with and implement the above policy, the Company appoints managers in charge and delegates the responsibility and authority to secure land-sea cooperation and monitor systems’ operational management status.
By providing information and training to all employees, we aim to ensure understanding of this policy and raise awareness, and we have established a support system for environmental management activities on a day-to-day basis.
This policy is disseminated to all employees, as well as publicly released and disclosed outside the company.

Safety Policy
Basic Safety Principles
Since our establishment in 1961, Naikai Tug Boat Service Co., Ltd. has consistently contributed to society and expanded our business by delivering safety in maritime transport. Delivering safety is our mission.
The safe operation of ships and the safety and health of all employees are our most basic principles, and we make every effort to maintain and improve safety.
Basic Policy
Based on our basic safety principles, Naikai Tug Boat Service Co., Ltd. recognizes the safe operation of ships and the safety and health of employees as fundamental assets, and our policies concerning the management of safety and health are as follows.
(1)Improvement of Work Environments, Placing Safety First
Based on the recognition that “we cannot deliver safety to others without ensuring the safety of our own vessels, and we cannot ensure vessels’ safety without ensuring the safety of individuals,” we place “safety first” through the following activities.
- Make sufficient investments in ships’ safety equipment.
- Clarify safety standards and promote compliance.
- Thoroughly report hazardous incidents and share information inside and outside the company.
- Continue to conduct education and training to raise safety awareness.
(2)Improvement of Work Environments, Placing Health First
We place both safety and health first, aim for a synergy of the two, and are working to improve the health of all employees through the following activities.
- Improvement of work environments and prevention of overwork
- Self-development activities to improve awareness of health management
